Many programs around the world have developed criteria for the use of their national (icon) logo on products within teh marketplace. In many cases this criteria for promotable products is based on National dietary standards and food regulations, tradtional dietary practices, the core vision and purpose of the national fruit and vegetable program, and expected outcomes of implimentation of criteria.
Some programs include 100% juices, dired, canned and frozen while other criteria include only fresh fruit and vegetables. The following is a sample of exisiting criteria from IFAVA members.
